Ingredients
2 NotChicken Burger™
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp ginger, grated
2 cloves garlic, grated
1 cup orange juice
¼ cup sugar
¼ cup rice vinegar
¼ cup soy sauce
½ tsp red pepper flakes
2 tbsp cornstarch + ¼ cup water
Orange zest
Sesame seeds
Cashews
Green Lettuce Leaves
Steps
Cook the NotChicken Burger™ as directed. While they cook, make the sauce.
Combine the sesame oil, ginger and garlic in a sauce pan over medium heat. Cook for 1 minute and add the orange juice, sugar, rice vinegar, soy sauce and red pepper flakes.
Cook until simmering and lower heat to low for 5 minutes. Add the cornstarch and water mixture and bring to a low boil.
Remove from heat and set aside.
Cut the NotChicken™ into small ½” pieces and toss them in the orange sauce.
Add into individual lettuce leaves and top with chopped cashews and sesame seeds. Enjoy!
