1 tablespoon olive oil

1 carrot, diced

1 onion, diced

2 celery stalks, diced

2 Not Beef Patties, thawed

3 cups whole peeled, San Marzano tomatoes

1 Tbsp tomato paste

1 cup white wine

4 cup veggies stock

1 bay leaf

1 tsp dried oregano

½ tsp thyme

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper


  1. In a large dutch oven over medium heat add the carrot, onion, and celery. Cook until soft or about 5 minutes.

  2. Add the Not Beef patties and cook 5-7 minutes. Breaking up the patties and stirring frequently.

  3. Add the tomato paste and cook for 1 minute. Add the wine and cook for about 8 minutes or until it has reduced in half the amount of liquid.

  4. Add in the tomatoes, 3 cups of veggie stock, bay leaf, oregano, thyme, salt and pepper.

  5. Bring to a simmer and turn heat to low. Cover and let cook for 3-4 hours minimum. If the sauce is thickening too much add more stock. If liquid is too thin for your liking, remove lid and let cook to thicken up.

  6. Serve with your favorite paste or in your favorite recipes.
