  • 2 NotChicken Patties

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • ¼ cup maple syrup

  • ⅓ cup soy sauce

  • ⅓ cup ketchup

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch + ¼ cup water

  • Sesame seeds, for topping

  • Green onions, for topping


  • Cook the NotChicken Patties as directed on packaging.

  • While those bake, make the sauce. In a saucepan over medium heat add the sesame oil and garlic. Saute for 1-2 minutes or until golden.

  • Add in the maple syrup, soy sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, rice vinegar and cornstarch mix. Bring to a low simmer for 3-4 minutes or until everything is combined. If too thick, add a bit more water to thin out. Turn off heat and set aside.

  • Once the patties have finished cooking, removed and cut into nine 1” pieces. Toss in the sauce and serve with rice or noodles. Top with the sesame seeds and green onions. Enjoy!
